Christmas Adopt An Angel and Adopt A Family Programs

Adopt An Angel

The Merciful HELP Center also supplies Christmas Assistance to over 400 families giving each family a food basket with typical Christmas Dinner supplies like Ham, potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, fruit and supplies to make cookies like flour, sugar and eggs. We provide staples to make several more meals and cold goods such as milk, butter, cheese, apples and potatoes.

Each Christmas Family is personally contacted by a parishioner to find out the exact sizes and needs of each child. Angel tags are carefully prepared and hung on trees. Parishioners kindly pick up tags and shop for children. Each child receives 2 complete outfits, 2 or 3 toys or needs, socks and underwear!

Adopt A Family

The Merciful HELP Center also works with families or groups that would like to adopt a family on their own. Families are selected very carefully for this program and are matched to families according to the size of the family and what the family identifies with most. The family or groups supplies:

  • Food for Christmas Dinner and other staples
  • Paper products and cleaning supplies
  • Families and groups sponsoring a family receive $40.00 on Grocery Store Scrip Cards to purchase the ham, milk, butter, eggs, bread, cheese, apples and potatoes.

The sponsor family personally contacts the recipients to find out the exact sizes and needs of each child. They shop for the children. Each child receives 2 complete outfits, 2 or 3 toys or needs, socks and underwear!

The sponsoring family receives support through the Merciful HELP Center and is assisted if the needs are beyond what is stated above!
